小学英语对小学生来说是一个重要的起步阶段。其实要学好英语，课上占40%，其余的60%还需要学生在课后不断的巩固，加深记忆。在课上老师更多的是教授新知识，当然课上也会有少量的时间巩固新学的知识。但是这些时间是公共的时间，所以不可能照顾到每个学生，不可能让所有学生都达到相同的程度。在学校老师会尽最大的努力进行教学，但课余时间还需要广大家长大力配合。如：每天回家听录音、背诵要家长多督促;确保孩子每天至少边听录音，边跟读课文15分钟，要读出声音，最好家长在旁监督，会更有效。所以请家长一定要从现在起重视孩子的英语学习。为了协助孩子更好地学好英语，请家长配合老师完成以下工作：
1、每天检查孩子的回家作业是否完成，保证第二天能按时上交。在这里我恳请每位家长认真督促孩子完成老师每天布置的作业，尤其是抄写单词一定要严格要求按照他们的英语书写，写得不好的家长也可以要求他们重新做，检查作业主要看他们书写和格式以及上次老师的批改，注意检查他们有没有订正，有时候，老师在学生的作业本上批了订正，但是交上来的时候学生并没有去订正，希望各位家长能够支持老师的工作，如果您有什么意见也可以写在作业本上，便于及时沟通.
2、开学以来，很多学生忘记带作业本，带英语课本。课上只能和同桌共看一本书，结果是一堂课下来，老师讲的知识没有学到多少，我希望家长能够每天按照课表提醒孩子收拾好书包，检查好明天要带的作业和课本，养成良好的学习习惯。

今天，很荣幸地作为孩子的英语老师，和大家共同探讨英语学习的问题，本人水平有限，不当之处，敬请批评指正。
首先简单说一下刚刚过去的期中教学检测的情况。这次考试总体还是不错的，但是不能说明一切，但却可以反映一些您的孩子在学校里的学习情况。因为孩子们都是在三年级开始学英语的，经过近两年的学习，他们之间已经拉开了不小的差距。一些学生学习兴趣浓，学习劲头足，在课堂上能够积极思维，踊跃发言，课后也能够及时复习和巩固，形成了良性循环的好势头。先看试卷，也有一些学生，平时学习态度不认真，书面作业拖延不交，口头作业根本不完成，基础不扎实，结果功亏一篑，学习自然也成了件头痛事，麻烦事。我认为，孩子学习上的差别关键与孩子的学习习惯和方法有关。有的孩子的习惯非常好，能够自觉主动的按时完成老师的要求，有的孩子没有养成好习惯，不知道为什么要学习和怎样高效地学习，学习也就没有了积极性和主动性了。那么怎样帮助孩子学好英语呢?下面我将作业的情况和需要家长们配合的地方做一下说明。
1、听读的作业：请务必督促学生在家听英语并跟读，直到熟练，最好能背诵，这样做可以培养语感，对孩子的学习有很大帮助。
2.星号单词的默写：每一单元的五角星词是要求会听说读写的，家长可以让学生自己默写或者说中文意思学生写英文都可以，但最重要的是在学生默写完后，督促他们对着书本及时更正。
3.抄写的作业：布置抄写单词，其目的不在于抄多少遍，而在于让学生记住这些单词。但是在实际操作中，我发现学生不重视这项作业，认为只是抄抄而已，书写潦草，只求速度，更别说是去背了，结果所学知识得不到巩固，几次下来，他就会掉队了，而且更没有了学习的积极性，久而久之，形成恶性循环。因此，恳请各位家长在家里要督促孩子保质保量地完成英语作业。而且只要有背诵的作业都需要签名，以便老师及时掌握学习情况，最好写清楚掌握到什么情况，比如已读熟，或已背诵，或哪个词不会读等等。实际上，我们班签字的情况不是很理想，每次都会有部分同学找各种理由推脱。所以建议家长及时检查过问孩子的作业情况，督促孩子按时完成作业，签好字。
另外，我认为多和老师沟通和交流也很重要，这样可以及时发现问题并及时纠正错误。最好不要等着老师去跟你联系，因为有的孩子多次不写作业或不带课本怕被批评，就不告诉老师家长的号码，或者说一个空号和停机的号，给家校沟通带来不便。
总之，只要孩子每天进步一小步，就会向成功迈进一大步，不妨把您的时间多一点留给孩子,把您的关心多一点送给孩子 ,把您的信心多一点让给孩子，孩子会带给你很大的惊喜。最后，送给大家一句话以共勉，教育孩子的时候要常用拇指---多鼓励，慎用食指---少批评。 祝愿各位家长身体健康，工作顺利，谢谢。
